I think a lot of this knee-jerking has a lot to do with inexperience with different cultures or groups. How many of you have black or gay or ethnic friends? I mean, seriously? Stereotypes are true. I'm sorry I'm not sorry. And if you any of you had any ethnic or gay friends, you would know this. If you don't, then you're just incredibly thick-headed. Does that mean every single person in a group adheres to that particular stereotype? Of course not. That would be stupid. Does a very large percentage? Sure. Black people eat a lot of fried chicken, eat watermelon, and drink orange soda. Asian people are typically short, eat a lot of rice, and some sound like "ching chong sing ling" when they talk. White people drink milk, eat mayonnaise, are incredibly uptight (as evidenced in this thread), and are typically god awful dancers and very stiff-like in their body language. Some of these traits occur because of mother natures roll of the dice, others do not. Would it seem racist of me to say that there are a lot of black people in the NBA? Do I give a fuck if it does?

Are any of you incredibly incapable of making simple observations or is reality just incredibly difficult for you to assess? If you would like to spend your life with your head in the sand, that's your business, but it doesn't negate the fact that things exist for one reason or another. And if it exists, why can't we talk about it? I'm the only white person at my work, the rest being black, and we make racial jokes about one another all the time and no one gives a shit. Nobody gets offended, nobody throws up their arms and cries "hate speech", we just laugh, accept our obvious differences, and go on about our day. SO WHAT if somebody says something you don't like? That doesn't give you an excuse to get up on your soapbox or to receive a kiss on the foot. Get over it.

There is quite a difference between someone using a word out of the sincere hatred of a group and using it casually. Anybody who cannot tell the difference, again, needs a head check.

I thought I was talking about every single solitary person that belongs to a racial subgroup, all nice-and-convenient-like. Or maybe I was just using it as an example of a generality that is commonly stated, which just so happens to be true. And the reason that whites tend to favor dairy far more than Asians and those of African descent, is because they do not lack the required lactase to do so, where as the previously mentioned groups do. And the mayonnaise thing was actually something a black girl asked me, which was a common white stereotype she had heard. Man, I bet she's REALLY racist! I guess I better find her so you can tell her how wrong and racist she is because YOU hate mayonnaise!

And I know not every single Asian is short, because I live with one and I own a pair of eyeballs. And I would say that those two Asians are a very extreme minority.

The bottom line of this completely unnecessary thread is "bad words" and "are we moving backwards because of bad words?" First off, who gives a flying mother fuck about somebody calling somebody else a bad word? Sticks and stones, you guys. Don't be a pussy. And how can one say we're moving backwards when there are magazines, music, television networks, even ENTIRE MOVIE AND BOOK CATEGORIES, dedicated to particular ethnic groups and gay people? That's moving backwards to you? This is just silly bullshit that's disguised as being "profound" when it's really just a bunch of whinin', cryin', pissin' and moanin'.
