A note-by-note cover of Double Dragon Mission 1. I've heard some covers of this, but they all take a bunch of liberties with the solo. Has anyone done this yet?

Vertexguy's version was pretty close, and rather well-performed.

I think people mostly take liberties with the solo because it's ridiculously hard, and maybe even technically impossible.

Haha, I was thinking that too, that it might not be totally possible.

Thanks, Wild_Cat. I'll have to listen to that in a bit, as I'm at work and it isn't headphone time until all the bigwigs go home.

Maybe some of the intervals are impossible, but getting the general "feel" of the solo is absolutely doable. :)

Are you guys kidding me?
You can do it, all you'd have to do is tune the guitar in such a way that makes the notes necessary to play the song easier to reach.
Not exactly easy, but "never" say "never" or "impossible".

O.N.H.C. Put it on t-shirts, wear it, live it, love it.

Yellow: 'From now on, please refer to your fueling port as a mouth... or anything else.'"

Link?

This should now become a thread about who has come the closest to nailing the Double Dragon solo note for note.

i cross'd a barrier into SCOOPvilLe yesterday and dunked with the best jammers and fresh dip ballers roundabout through an awesome bomb dunk party.

I'm still waiting for somebody to cover Devil's Crush / Dragon's Fury.
It's a pretty unrealistic request, I know, but I've never heard anybody attempt it.

Holy shit yeah, Devil's Crush. Whoever decides to undertake that one, I call dibs on the guest-starring-bassist spot.

There exists a metal cover of that tune (see below), but I find it relatively meh. The production is terribly muddy and I hate the guitar tone.

I played this game as a kid .. I forget what it's called. You were a guy with a whip and bats flew at you. It had some pretty cool music. Somebody should play that sometime!
