All the advertisements say STE-VIA, like "STEH" "VEEA". This guy Dan just says "Steve E Uh".

I bought some Stevia root beer .. Zevia brand. It tastes like bad artificial sweetener.

mother fucking fuck
so i've been dropping my liquid, berry flavor stevia into water. i was doing honey before but this liquid stevia is waaaay easier since i dont have to shake my water bottle to mix it and make a sticky mess adding it due to the handy dropper. the taste was alot like aspartame which sucks but its cool cus it doesn't do nasty things like aspartame.
going ok for a few days but then i started to notice some side effects - at 1st, just a minor headache. then yesterday at band practice, i was having some beers and then decided to rehydrate with some stevia water. a bit later, i was starting to sip a dinner beer and i felt like i was going to faint! i was like wtf. i had to stop drinking the beer.
drinking a little more stevia today and just feeling weird.
looked it up and sure enough, there is a side effect of stevia that lowers blood pressure. on people like me with low blood pressure, it would cause me to pass out eventually. probly even turn retarted. god dammit. waste of money.
probly great for the crazy man in these videos who looks like his blood pressure is naturally too high.

stevia is one of the few sweeteners i'm allowed to use on the candida diet i'm on to kill yeast. i really dislike the taste but i've gotten used to it. in certain contexts it can taste ok (mix it with water, some lemon juice and some lime juice as an example).
so far, i haven't noticed any change at all to my blood pressure. i almost wish i had! but mileage may vary.
zevia sodas are kinda hit and miss. there's another one out there that uses different proportions of ingredients and tastes quite a lot better but i'm forgetting its name. i'll look it up and get back to you.
cetera if you want to try something alternative to stevia that is still pretty decent, try xylitol. some folks can taste a bit of the aftertaste but i'm one of the ones that cannot. virt turned me onto it a while ago and i use it when i just don't want the stevia aftertaste. good stuff.

In the kitchen at my workplace they have these little TrueLemon packets (http://www.truelemon.com/products.html) and this stuff is GRAPE! I mix it with my water every time I go to refill, it's super tasty and is purportedly just crystalized lemon. No arrrr scurvy dog scallawags fer me!
