i feel super embarrassed
i just tried to get all righteous in freaking Heosphoros' facebook post!
i ridiculously rebutted a guy who who was actually being hilariously sarcastic.
i even thought twice that he might be joking before i posted, but i was so blinded by that pot of gold - "to be right on the internet" - that i ignored my judgement and hit that post button.
is this where i am supposed to learn to
A: hang with funnier/hipper people so i can raise my sarcasm level?
B: learn that you will always eventually fail if you think you can put someone in their place on the internet?
C: be righter and smarter so i can make informative posts that knock the posers of their pedestals?
D: quit the internet only realize real life is the same and even more hurtful when u have egg on your face?
is anyone else feeling me here?
i feel like its a major NOOB topic actually, very worthy of the year 2002

Maybe because I'm not friends with the guy yet.

I think that the only way you're going to nail a 10 (or 11) girl is if you have millions of dollars, a non maniac mansion, a bichon frise with a bow on it's head, a yacht, and multiple fast cars! i'm so sorry :/

E: Stop being a self-righteous dick.
Unfortunately, internet culture is all about PWNING people and saving face if they try to PWN you, so it's hard to avoid.

Dude wasn't even really releasing his stuff in NES cartridge format, he was just ruining existing carts (which are no longer made and are a dwindling resource) and shoving USB drives inside them.

Also I'm pretty sure someone I know IRL defriended me on Facebook because I challenged him on his political beliefs. Oh well.
Life's hard, man.
Also this makes 3 cringe-worthy chiptune articles I've seen in 2 weeks

Well, I was reading about that guy on Kotaku on the way to work, and I was also facepalming at it.
Dude wasn't even really releasing his stuff in NES cartridge format, he was just ruining existing carts (which are no longer made and are a dwindling resource) and shoving USB drives inside them.
People do that with ROMs as well. There are also some companies where you can purchase 'blank' NES cartridges that aren't (I believe) cannibalized games.
So what I gather from this is that it's not 'troo' or 'kvlt' to release music on a cannibalized NES cart with a USB drive in it?

Sometimes you can misinterpret someone else's sarcasm as serious, and you look like a bit of a jerk.
But remember, no matter what you do, you probably won't be as much of a jerk as some douchebag that destroys old NES carts to market his own non-video-game-related music.

The article says "Musician Releases Album on Old Nintendo Cartidges" and "Not a reproduction, not a replica case, he's released it on actual NES carts".So what I gather from this is that it's not 'troo' or 'kvlt' to release music on a cannibalized NES cart with a USB drive in it?
Now compare Alex Mauer who released albums only playable on the NES to this guy who put a USB stick in a NES cart. This dude isn't even a chiptune artist, he's just literally putting an album on a USB stick inside of a cart. He could shove it in a tupperware container or a '57 Chevy and you could say the same quotes as above. It's really nothing special and it's disappointing in the same way that the dude covering Radiohead albums in "8-bit" getting a lot of attention is disappointing. Neither is representative of chiptune culture and they get way more "props" for something that's not really original and certainly not true to the culture. I don't think people are upset because this reveals the secret chiptune culture to the masses, it's upsetting because it's revealing the wrong things. There's way more interesting stuff out there, so why is this what rises to the top?
Certainly in the realm of being not a big deal in the long run but still makes me
And now because I'm bored at work, this thread is coming full circle.
