-No AA batteries.
-USB-rechargable.
-Similar layout to the Xbox 360 controller.

Whoa, I always thought the 360 controller was just about the ultimate game controller, except for its D-pad.

Now that Nintendo's got one of a similar design but with a sensible cross-shaped d-pad, I think they've got the perfect controller.

I wonder if MS is going to fix the D-pad in its next controller, now that Nintendo's patent has expired.

I am hoping MiiVerse is entirely optional(likely since you'd need internet) even though it looks great for those that would want to use it. I would too sometimes. Just not all the time.

the 30 minute video went by so fast, the WiiU looks completely amazing and shows that Nintendo is an Innovator.

CCPro looks awesome as well. I hope the facebutton placement is comfortable to use/hold

Well the placement isn't too far off from the Circle Pad Pro's right slide pad on the 3DS (just to the upper right instead of directly right).

And from my experience with that, I can say that the placement shouldn't be that bad. In fact, being to the upper right should be more comfortable; I saw someone on another forum refer to it as the reverse of the Playstation's layout, in that the joystick and the face buttons are swapped. If you can handle a Playstation controller just fine, you should be able to handle this just fine.

Lookin' good. The d-pad appears to be the same as the Classic Controller's, which actually isn't all that special. Certainly 1000x more functional than the godawful 360 one, though. I wish everyone would copy the Neo-Geo Pocket's microswitchy d-pad. It's double ace.
