I will bring my N64 with Mario Kart, Bomberman, F-Zero X and the ID titles. I only have two controllers so if anyone else has any and/or more interesting MP games, please bring them.

I will also be baking some excellent chocolate chip cookies for dessert and will maybe grab some Trader Joe's rootbeers for those of us who don't imbibe. I guess I can throw my acoustic in the back of my van when I come up, it's old and shitty but dammit, it's honest.

I won't be bringing my hacked-to-hell Wii then with that custom stage pack for Mario Kart Wii and custom textures and stages and music for Brawl then.

I may show up sometime afternoon as well, or I may be there at noonish. Who knows?

also i have no instruments of my own but i do play keyboard so if anyone's got one of those then...

Bay Area Shizz meetup #1 was a resounding success!

Miles is a fucking great cook, and basically owned all food related duties. BBQ'd Ribs, steak (erik cook the steak), had corn on the cobb, mac and chese (the homemade style kind) potato salad. Just all greatness.

He also brought over his SNES and NES which- again, stole the show. Played some Gradius 3, Super Metroid, Contra, Castlevania, Megaman 4, Rygar, smash bros brawl. Good times all around. Even if the NES keep freezing and crashing. OH, OLD SCHOOL GAME SYSTEMS...

We fired up Goat's sourge of 1631 track during CV, and RnL during Contra. That is basically the only way to play those games, I say.

I'd also like to give a special thanks to everyone for doing a damn good job of keeping things clean. At large gatherings, often times trash gets out of hand, messes all over, etc. Not only did that not happen, but the actual dishes load was minimal since we kept on that during the day.

Thanks for coming over, guys! Glad we got use of that sun before the Fog ATE IT!

I didn't die on the way home! WEEEE!

Made it back at about 10:30, so I'm glad I left when I did. Sorry I couldn't stay longer but I was already feeling tired at 8:00 with a few hours journey still remaining and didn't want to be totally fucked for the ride home. The #44 arrived as I was walking up to the bus stop, and the train arrived as I was coming down the stairs in Glen Park Station so it was a good thing I left when I did. I'd definitely be up for another meeting though I think I'll take the Pleasonton train next time, fuck Pittsburg, and now that I'm a bit better acquainted with the bus route I don't even think I'll need a ride.

Also to reiterate Nate's sentiments; Miles can make a dammed fine meal (this coming from a guy who rarely, if ever, eats other people's food) and it was cool hanging out with everyone. Thanks to Nate for being a great host and to everyone else for making it a good time for all.

Protip: Don't get hit.

The first couple weeks here have been pretty crazy. I was in the office for a week and then they sent me out on a job for two and next week I'm heading back east for more work. But AFTER that we should have another get together or something. Anyone doing anything fun for Labor Day?
