Just read this on The Magic Box:

RUMOR: Scribd revealed a "leaked" 56-page document from an internal Microsoft presentation, which shows some details of the next-gen Xbox console. The document was taken down due to copyright infringement, at the request of Microsoft's legal firm Covingtone & Burling LLP, which seems to make it sounds more like a legit internal document. Here are some highlights:

• Xbox 720 will have 4 to 6 times better performance than Xbox 360
• Xbox 720 will have 6-8 ARM/x86 CPU Cores at 2GHz each, and a 64ALU GPU at 1GHz
• 3 PPC CPU Cores for backward compatibility with Xbox 360
• 4GB DDR4 128-bit memory
• Native 3D, Always-On, Next-Gen Sensor Glasses (SmartGlass)
• Blu-ray and Kinect V2 will be included, Kinect V2 will have improved voice recogniton, dedicated processing and 4 player tracking
• Launch date is 2013, for $299
• Augmented Reality glasses "Fortaleza" will launch in 2014, which is similar to Google's Project Glass

I just hope they design it so it's not as prone to overheating and breaking down like the 360 was. Add some more fans, or maybe even some liquid cooling. And have a better design that allows the components to breathe a bit.

Otherwise, I'm completely disinterested with the console and only until I see some actual software will I make a decision on whether to get one or not.

The hardware specs seem relatively low for what should be a generational leap. The computer I bought a year ago is easily more than three times the overall power of this.

While I agree the specs aren't anything to write home about, you must remember you cannot measure the power of a multi-purpose computer with a dedicated gaming system. Just doesn't work like that.

If the price is for real, than daaamn, not too shabby.

With those specs, I want a see a real game for it before casting judgment one way or the other.

Also, Lucavi's got a good point here. Thanks for bringing the SE Domain acquisition up, urvile. Hopefully it means SE will start making games for Steam. I hope. Let alone the posting of FF7 in general.

Also: It could be likely they are decided to re-sell the Crappy Eidos version of FFVII to gauge interest in a remake....but that'd be stupid. Everyone on the face of the earth already knows that they want a remake. So why would they buy an inferior version(Mostly) of the game to show that? The original on PSX already sold millions of copies.
