I had a guy come to pick something up from me that I was trying to get rid of. Anyways, he started telling me about how a guy once pulled a gun on him when he went to his house to buy something (from the dude's ad on craiglist), so he flashes his pistol and I nearly shit myself because the very sight of guns freak me out. I guess he wanted me to know that he had one in case I tried to pull something out myself. I always wonder how experienced the average gun owner is with their weapon, so when they show it off, it makes me pretty damn nervous. Couldn't wait for the guy to leave though, even though he didn't seem like a bad dude. I just hate being around real guns.
there should def be a law that requires you to master gun twirls and slickshooter show tricks. i honestly feel like flashing a gun and doing that stuff would dispel any doubt that the user knew their stuff
right? like if he pulled it out and did a light-hearted TJ laser, you would have been fine, yea? i would
People like to show stuff off to me, even when I'm clearly not the least bit interested. Guns are the least interesting thing to me that I can imagine, perhaps besides someone handing me a bag of poop. The reality I picture is something like "here, check it out, I'll let you hold it" and the thing goes off and I get shot in the foot. Then I end up saying "no worries, no worries" as the guy finishes me off so I don't go tattling on him. TJ Hooker, my ass.
but yeah, that would be nice.
