I must disagree, ZDoom is the best with a controwah. (Subsequently, SkullTag tied with the Jag for Second in Lah-Lah-Suhn-Land.)5: Proceed!
6: For real though. There is nothing wrong with this. Nothing. Fans of Doom will have a new way to pay Doom. That is all. If you feel that changes to the game are unnecessary, then don't freakin' play it.
7: Doom on Jaguar is Best Doom (Carmack even said so)

I like how you have an opinion on it when you have never actually played Doom on Jaguar.

Though the first console port of Doom, this version has more levels than the SNES and 32X versions, and as many levels as the 3DO and GBA versions. It features 22 of the PC version's 27 levels, though many of them are simplified, plus 2 new levels (the levels titled "Tower of Babel" and "Hell Keep" are not the same as the PC levels of the same names). Unlike the SNES, 32X, and 3DO versions, the game display occupies the full screen. The levels use less complex lighting effects and have less variation in floor depth and ceiling height. It lacks the Cyberdemon, the Spider Mastermind and the Spectre. It is compatible with the JagLink 2-console networking device for 2 players to play a deathmatch. The Jaguar version does not have any music during gameplay, but plays the familiar title theme and intermission music with new instruments. Game settings and progress through the levels are saved automatically, and the player can start a new game anywhere up to the last level reached. Instead of having to cycle through the weapons selection, the player can select a weapon by pressing its corresponding button on the controller's number pad.
No cyberdemon, no spider mastermind, no spectre, simplified and/or missing levels, less complex lighting effects, less height variation, and no in-game music? Doesn't sound like a winner to me.

So copy and pasting a wikipedia article is just as good as actually playing the game? cool!

Do you think one of the five people who have a Jaguar would let me borrow it?
Not my problem Bra.
You don't see me spouting off opinions on shit i have no real world experience with. I mean, I dont walk in the Diablo 3 thread and paste paragraphs from wikipedia to prove a point on something I have no direct experiance. Just sayin.
oh. almost forgot.

Well hey now, let's not be snide. If you've played it, go ahead and tell us what it is about the Jag version that overcomes these glaring (and they are glaring) flaws.
i cross'd a barrier into SCOOPvilLe yesterday and dunked with the best jammers and fresh dip ballers roundabout through an awesome bomb dunk party.

EDIT: I'll concede the point on Spectres. I hate those fuckers, wouldn't mind to see them go.

Best way to play Doom is while riding a Jaguar.
Honestly. Doom with friends is the best way to play. I think other than PC you could link up with PS1 and Jag. The ps1 version is vastly superior to anything at the time. in my opinion.
