Yeah, you're out of luck. They don't even have replacements any more. They got phased out a couple months ago. If any of the Droid 3 rumors are true (single-core, 3g-only) then I might have to go for an HTC phone. Don't really want to do that, but considering the huge push that Verizon seems to be making for LTE and then not including it in the follow-up to their flagship phone, it seems kind of ridiculous that it doesn't have LTE.
Is there an easy way to clean my headphone jack on my Droid? It's kinda noisy and persnickitty when it gets jostled (crackling and disengaging) .. kinda annoying.
This is a manufacturing defect that was covered by the warranty. It seems like the first wave of devices was fine, and then the next two manufacturing waves had the problem. I never got around to testing mine after I bought it until it was out of warranty. Friend of mine had his swapped out on the spot when he took it into Verizon.
At this point, I'm biding my time until another decent Verizon handset hits the market. I think I'm already due for an upgrade, and I'm getting kinda tired of the OG Droid's limitations, as much as I love the damn thing.
