Haha! I don't live too close to Chicago anymore (maybe I should update that???) but when I did it was closer to Ottawa! My great aunt was one of the employees at the Radium Dial company in the 30's, and the whole family ended up settling there for a while. I don't know if we lived near one of the "radioactive" areas I hear are still there, but I wouldn't be surprised since we're all kind of weird!!
