Losing weight, especially if you don't regularly exercise, doesn't have to be all that hard. I used to weigh between 240-250 lbs and am currently at around 170 (began regular exercise in oct 2011). I gradually changed my diet over a long period of time and started by doing cardio for an hour a day 7 days a week (because I'm the type of person who will stop unless there's a strict routine, if you can be disciplined enough for 3-5 times a week that's enough). If you havent been exercising regularly, you should see pretty significant weight loss in 3-4 months. I ate whatever and consistently dropped weight. For me, putting in the hour or so of activity per day and eating whatever worked well. Also, lift some weights if you have time.
