I've started a thread at OC ReMix about doing a tribute arrangement project for Tim Follin, who relatively recently announced that he would no longer compose video game music. If you're a very capable artist in the community and you're interested in having free reign to arrange any Follin track(s) you want for this project, please stop by and let me know what material you'd like to arrange: http://www.ocremix.o...pic.php?t=75109. Again, provided you're a capable artist, this is open to anyone in the VGM fan arrangement community. We're hoping to bring on as many fans of Follin's work on board as possible.

Yeah, in particular, I was thinking of Norrin Radd for this if he's interested. Shawn Phase playing over some Nintendo originals in his typical style could also be pretty cool. XOC would also be good, though I don't know how much interest he has in Follin's stuff, I'm just saying he's particularly skillful. Never seen Homard/Homie/Homer Simpson around here or anywhere else in the community since he was benned from VGMix, but he was also a decent guitarist and improving his material last I heard of him a year or so ago. Just throwing names out there.
Anyone unsure of what the guy's done can check it out and see if there's anything they'd like to arrange. Most of Follin's discography is available at The Follin Drome fan site. Enjoy.

Thanks a lot (now I'm able to say it in public this time) for Ryan and his contribution to the project, our recent DoD winner Solstice "Catacombs Beneath the Twilight". Very impressive stuff per his usual, and great to see something from Follin get support not only by Ryan, but also everyone who enjoyed the track in the contest!
If any one else would still be interested in coming up with anything for the Tim Follin project, as Follin is big on real instrumentation, lemme know here or post in the main OCR thread and I'll add you to the list. For those interested in something slightly different, Follin has 12 original demo tracks up at his site that are all very very good, but about a 1 minute each. If anyone is willing to do extended arrangements of any of these demos, it would be a great additional aspect along with the VGM being arranged. Hopefully, you'll like these demos.
The deadline is still April 15th, but can be extended depending on any further sign-ups. Thanks again to Ryan for all his work on behalf of the project!

I haven't got anything recorded, but I've been working on a cover of a Follin song. Unfortunately I really don't have anything to credit my name with, aside from the tetris song I did this month which was pretty sloppy. I suppose I'll just keep working on it, because I want to release it eventually, even if it's not for this project.
Edit: Took out the song name in case this has any sort of anonymity to it

Just letting y'all know that with the DoD Follin Bros. Month, I am looking for additions to the Tim Follin OC ReMix site project album in the works. Hopefully many of you guys will offer your entries this month over my way. Me and the two other project coordinators hope to contact Tim Follin about participating in the project himself provided that we get a good turnout for this album.

Wait, there's going to be a Follin Bros. Month? I go away for a few days and I miss something that big...
This month will be busy for me, but I will try to finish my track. Unfortunately I haven't worked on it since this was first posted and I think I might just start over.
