Scrolling shooter games. So anything where the screen auto-scrolls and you have a plane/spaceship/helicopter/spaceman/etc that shoots shit up. If you are uncertain whether a game falls into this category, just ask me or Crimson.

Virt, you sneaky bastard. And I had Crystal Flash pegged for Norrin too.

Well, considering my last foray into Metroid, I'd call this a nice improvement. Probably the coolest thing I heard was that people thought everything was completely live...it's the same drum SoundFont I always use, so I guess if nothing else this means I'm improving in my actual programming (IE it's something a drummer could conceivably play). a nice compliment to be sure.

As for this next one, I've got a bunch of ideas, and I'm not saying anything except "You brought it on yourselves". mwahaha....

Wow. House did minibossa, fucking awesome.


I gotta say, this is probably the best DoD yet because I feel it has given us two of the best VG Covers ever, Minibossa and Cyrstal Flash. The later of which, I have to say blows my fucking face off with it's sheer awesomeness.

and im not talking about your normal method of application, im talking about just saying 'fuck it' and experimenting. hopefully (and i dont mean this in a mean way) this will be something for you to think about as far as making more unique things. i had no idea you did that track at all, which is a good thing

cacomistle, i could have sworn i got your track, but apparently i would have given you SOME type of vote for your effort, i spread my points out VERY broadly, i think i gave points to 18 artists..i just downlaoded it now and apparently it never got downloaded, thats the only one that didnt...im so sorry bro. you did a good job regardless. everyone really did, this was my favorite month by far. hoperfully people will enter next month and we can get even more experimental!

Anyway, I've been wanting to tell everybody that tomorrow morning I'm scheduled for a recording session in the university's recital hall, using their recording equipment, for an hour. I hope to record the entire Metroid soundtrack while I'm there.

also, Final Act was the third of three Metroid medleys I recorded at the session in which F.A. was made.

"Act I" has Title Screen, Game Start, Brinstar, Kraid. I couldn't enter it because I have older versions of Brinstar & Kraid online already.

"Act II" has Lower Norfair-Upper Norfair-Item Collect-Item Room-Tourain. I didn't enter this one because I like "Ending" so much.

"The Final Act" well, has Mother Brain-Escape-Ending, which I'm happy see was well recieved. I only wish the recordings from tomorrow could have been entered. But of course, they'll be up on the Shizz as soon as I can get them here.

I'd post the current versions of Act I and II, but you'll be getting the new recordings sometime soon anyway.
