I am getting into these guys hard. I'd never heard enough of them before to notice they were so effing insane.

Best band ever. Recognize!

Listening to Jacobs Ladder at the moment, totally jawdropped. Why didn't anyone force me to listen to them before!? So ashamed.

Anyone ever notice that Plok's SNES soundtrack is in total tribute to Rush, Starcastle, and Yes? Sounds very inspired by. http://snesmusic.org

Rush is one of those bands that I just assume people already know about, but yes they are wicked awesome. Some people complain about Geddy Lee's vocals, but they don't bother me really

And yeah, Plok is another Tim Follin masterpiece

Except, they, like Metallica, used to be incredible, and now suck ass. I think Moving Pictures is a top 5 album for me though.

I think it started when Neil started wearing the stupid hats.

Anyhow, you should REALLY post about this in the Budget Sinatra message board, Miss Delicious LOVES rush. In fact, it should be a full out minibossie attack on the BS messageboard about Rush.

oh man, that would be awesome, ben! i still have that stock photo of missdelish hangin' with geddy.

i hated rush for the longest time, just because my dad always hated them so i assumed they suck. then one day i just listened to limelight on the radio and i realized it was good. they've been around for ages, so i can excuse the fact that they suck now.

Porco dio! Baldy, you are not fond of the album "Vapor Trails?" I think it is probably my favorite Rush album in a long long time, so it is surprising to hear this accusement of the sucking! Based on such a good album. Does the lack of keyboards infuriate you? Please, elaborate on why to the sucking!

Although I admit, that covers album/ep whatever is utter garbage.

Yes I'd say Vapor Trails was, although not a complete return to their greatness, better than those very synthy albums they released through the 90s. A Farewell to Kings and 2112 are probably my favorite albums. But they're all so short. :(

Oh and:

"I think it started when Neil started wearing the stupid hats."

HAHAHAAAAA! HOW DO THEY STAY ON THERE!?

Incredible Rush albums:
Moving Pictures
Permanent Waves
Hemispheres

Excellent Rush albums:
A Farewell To Kings
2112

Good Rush Albums:
Caress Of Steel
Fly By Night

The rest have never been for me, but I really like the ones above. I haven't heard Vapor Trails.

2112!

Fucking amazing band live. They can still play for hours on end. The Rio dvd is well recommended.
And I love how cheesy their videos became in the 80's.

<3 Rush.

And yeah, their videos in the 80s were just weird, which is literally the only way to describe them.

Am I the only person who thinks that the intro to The Spirit of Radio sounds JUST like the intro for Offroad on the NES?

I totally get in these Rush moods when i'm at work,
and I'll play Moving Pictures (or maybe something
from the late 70's - Farewell to Kings or Hemispheres..)
but like, REALLY LOUD

then i'll follow it up with some Yes

this actually seems to happen every Tuesday (release day)
now that i think about it
