Damn, Uncut Gems was fucking TENSE. Adam Sandler did such a good job of playing a total shit the whole movie. Great dialogue, too. So many good scummy NY guy lines.

Was looking for a random movie on Vudu, this wasn't bad actually.

For the love of God, can we just release The New Mutants already? The longer that movie gets delayed, the worse things get #NewMutantsCurse

Speaking of this, does anyone know if they’re actually making a new Bill & Ted movie? Heard that but have not followed up. Sounds like a terrible idea, honestly. I could be proven wrong, I guess.

Jumanji: The Next Level. Streamed at home.

Enjoyed it as much as the last one. These movies know what they are and aren't trying to be something else. The jokes they make land. I'd recommend it if you need a chuckle while cooped up in quarantini.

If you've ever wished there were a Zelda movie, keep in mind that they are basically trapped in Breath of the Wild. The man friend and I kept calling out the name of BOTW locations and things they could do based on where they were.

watched Ragnarok again this weekend, still top notch. also the new INVISIBLE MAN which i have seen a lot of people praise but i just thought it was kind of ok. i'm not that big a fan of tense thrillers though so i am definitely the outlier here

however the real news is the discovery of VELOCIPASTOR, an intentionally awful movie about a preist who goes to china and gets cursed to turn into a dinosaur in moments of rage. i dont want to spoil anything else, its really, really good. i like bad movies and when movies try to be bad it often comes across as trite or hack-y but this one does it so well. free on Amazon prime DO NOT MISS

We just watched Onward. Someone at Pixar saw Bright and figured they could do a better take on the concept.

And they did.

Onward was released to Disney+ last week on Friday.  It is indeed quite good.  Disney+ is turning out to be a great value if you want to repeatedly watch Pixar movies with your kids (or else watch Marvel and Star Wars stuff).

I may have to check out Velocipastor. I love bad movies as well but mostly ones that are pre early 90s (usually late 70s and 80s anyways), and not done "intentionally" but with earnest however they lack a budget, the skills, and knowledge to pull it off. Often a "visionary" director will make it happen. The best intentional bad movies are done by those who actually know what they're doing. Like Black Dynamite.

Velocipastor will a watch from me especially since it seems like we share similar tastes in bad movies joe. :)

we have been meaning to start a full watch of the Friday The 13th movies and finally started last night. i am a huge fan of this series but had not watched the original in probably 15-20 years. i always think of it as a lesser movie because it isnt insane like the later ones, but its honestly pretty creepy in a different way and is one of the more well made horror movies of that era. you can tell its a little bit closer to Texas Chainsaw/ Halloween, at least in the early part of it.

We've been trying to watch a Friday the 13th movie every Friday the 13th although we missed out on this last one. We've only watched 1-3. I think the great thing about them so far is that the plot just keeps getting more and more distilled into a pure formula of "teens show up in location, Jason kills them". F13 2 kinda added some "lore" with the end scene having the shrine to his mother and stuff. F13 3 just flashbacks to that and the rest is just pure teen murdering.
