this all seems kind of ironic.
i mean, maricopa is the epitome of the housing bubble/crash. if you had to pick one master plan community that sprung up out of nowhere and had artificially high home prices that were getting gobbled up by investors, and then those home values plummeted so far that the community was in ruins, you'd have to pick maricopa, right? i don't know that you could find a more pure example anywhere in the country. it is, in a nutshell, everything that was wrong with the american economy.
and now bristol palin is moving there? the quasi-celebrity daughter of the woman who symbolizes the idiocracy of america. it's like she was destined to live there.
if you see her eating at the mcdonald's inside the walmart, be sure to capture it on film. there couldn't possibly be a more accurate image of why the rest of the world hates us.
