I haven't spent much time on this forum (had an account I browsed with for a while but cannot remember the dang login info..), but I knew I wanted to share my band's new album with those who support so much awesome music in Phoenix..
We're called St Ranger and we're based in Tempe/Phoenix. Been around since last summer but we don't get much action in the bar circuit since for our first year we were all 19/20 (still 3/5 are under 21). Some members were in There Is There Are, math rock that played around a few years ago. Our song structures take influence from their experience with rhythmic complexity, and we layer lots of harmonies (3 vocals with some keys and guitars) on top to create a sound that is a bit dreamy, while remaining upbeat and (attempting to be) catchy.
Anyway, our new album went online this week, and my new label The Color Group (we've promoted a few shows and bands around town for a few years now) will be releasing it on vinyl in February. Would love to hear what any of you think of the tunes and hope to play some gigs with all of you bands that are on here. Lots of killer music around us and we're glad to be a part of it, even if we're just now becoming old enough to have a drink with you
