It's coming up fast, and while I've been paying attention to the National vote, and statewide stuff, I would appreciate views for the smaller contests, or names I might not have thought of...

who do you like: Red, Blue, Green, Yellow or otherwise?

the biggie as we all know is Penzone. fuck arpaio. the fact that people keep voting for him is actually more upsetting to me than any other political issue in my entire lifetime- not because of how terrible he is, but because it reflects on how terrible all of my neighbors are

Only vote Terry Goddard and Heather Macre for water board, single shoting the seats is the best way to keep Tea Partiers off.

Where's the site that tells the details of the ballot props and who supports/opposes them? They're so deceiving....

Yes on 204. No on everything else. Was intrigued by the Open Primary Run-off prop but the way they went about setting it up would ultimately just make things more partisan.

No offense, but I'm not taking anyone's word on how to vote for anything. There used to be a booklet and a website that had the text of each one of the props and a list of arguments for/ against by individuals and organizations on both sides if the issue - that was a nice resource to have.

I received that a while ago. Country recorder or Secretary of State websites probably have a digital version.

The Arizona Secretary of State mails out a "What's on My Ballot" publicity pamphlet. This lists the ballot propositions and arguments for and against.

The Arizona Republic featured an editorial re: Water District candidates.

Be very careful to research your candidates for all the Districts (School, Water, Sanitation, etc.)!

http://azsos.gov/ele...ish/Prop120.htm

that's a link to the propositions and the arguments for and against.

i hate election season.  i get that people may have differing opinions on how to fix economic problems or deal with foreign policy issues.  that shit can be nebulous and there are many possible solutions that require intelligent debate - but by and large it just seems like the elections are a showcase for people to be as racist, sexist, and homophobic as possible.

that's why i'm writing in j.j. mauls for president.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.
