Here's my official statement on 2nd edition Vegavox carts: I made carts from 2007-2010... investing tons of hours of hard work. I stopped making copies of these carts in 2010 because I had a full time job and many soundtrack gigs on the side. The interest in the carts was not high enough to raise the price much more... so it was no longer worth the time investment to continue making them.
My friends and fans often ask me to make "just one more copy" of the carts for their collections. I am very busy and I am more interested in brand new projects than trying to keep an old one alive. However, I found out it's not uncommon to see copies of my old carts sell on Nintendo Age for $110. I also recently gave permission for LA Game Space to make new copies of my carts for Kick Starter rewards at $125 each. Anamanaguchi also is making carts for their Kick Starter as a reward for the $250+ tier.
So, now all of the sudden it makes sense to make a second edition of carts with a new, higher price... where it's actually worth the invested time AND it fills the need for the fans who requested for me to make "just one more". $100 is undercutting all of the competing prices right now... even the second hand price of my old carts.
Thanks for being interested in my music!
