I'm sure some of you are surprised to see me on here, but that's not the subject matter...
just the other day, I was listening to my iPod n was scrolling thru the bands I have on it.  I saw I had a Gwarth song on it (Gold Coins to a Cat) and contacted him if there were other songs/releases that I could get of his.  it went like this:

Gwarth - Whoa! That's awesome! I lost all my old music like 3 computers ago! Haha.

tBoG -  FARTS! I was hoping you'd be all, "oh yeah, I has bandcamp. here. u can has, too." any idea if they're online to start up a collection n make it happen???
Gwarth -  I'm en route to work at the moment but tonight I can upload my chiptunes at least to bandcamp, the ones I got left lol!
Norrin_Radd- Dude, Jared, you were a total natural at chiptunes.  That first collab we did ended up inspiring all of Anomaly. And it's all because of your style of chiptune writing. I remember being pretty damn stunned at how you turned the NES into a method for creating metal. Resonated with me for quite a while
tBoG -  great idea, mang! you're so under the radar like myself, except I have all my tunes here in tact haha  that'd be great if u got a nice collection and made it as a release, and called it something like, "the lost cause"
Gwarth - Haha, well thank you guys for the inspiring words! I didn't think most people gave a crap about my stuff! It sucks cause I lost quite a bit of the rarer chiptune's I had, like a Meshuggah cover i was working on too! But I will upload it as an album tonight when I get home! It might be late your time! This kinda makes me want to get back into making chiptunes again! Lol

So, without further ado, please check out this release here:

GWARTH - operation thunderstorm

first of all, funky fm music just really does it for me.  Even if it's something corny like early mariah carey I can get way into the music with the fm bass and keys going on.   Then, there's everything else in this song.  The enigmatic title.  The synth programming brings out all the right emotional responses in me:  leads that remind me of thunderforce (even if the portamento isn't quite as exaggerated), chording synths that remind me of very old and charming genesis osts like super monaco (except somehow they don't sound as flimsy here), and of course a solid bass.  Great original motifs, interesting harmonies, good melody, rhythm.. everything that can make a song great is here!
