So The One Ups just released a new album that's all dark/horror game themes, but it's so smooth and chill and delicious that I can hardly contain myself.

Bought mine through google's music service, but I guess you can also get it in iTunes, Amazon, and Loudr.

I guess they aren't doing a bandcamp. Is there anywhere to listen to the album in full before I buy it? I have a thing about buying albums blindly. (i don't like doing it) Plus I love my bandcamp. :(

The OneUps are one of the few bands out there that legitimately follow the licensing laws for game covers.  Loudr and similar services handle all of that for them, but there's a whole separate list of rules in place to allow for streaming full songs.  Basically, they have to pay for individual digital licenses for streaming up-front, and anticipate how many times people would stream it.  It becomes a super-expensive way for them to have fans listen for free and not buy the album.  Hence, they go through Loudr.

I'll tell you this, though.  If you like the 30-second samples and like their previous work, there's no reason to not buy the album.  Having heard the full thing, it's amazing.

I'm imagining Ellis writing the script to this at a computer, and every time he gets to the end of a line about religion being bad he smacks his fedora to tip it, making the sounds of a typewriter being reset.

This tracklist is just what the doctor ordered.  Is the bitrate 320?

Edit: Loudr has 320CBR :)

Gonna sink my fangs into this so hard.

I've listened to the whole thing now a couple of times and I feel like this album was made for me. Don't think twice about buying this. It's incredible and guarantee you'll be glad you got it.

Song selection and snippets convinced me. Also, pun titles.
