uhm, i haven't been a great member of this community, i'm evasive and avoidant when it comes to social gatherings. BUT, without the minibosses, my life would be COMPLETELY different, and even though i have been an outsider, i cannot imagine my life without the influence of the minibosses.

i met the love of my life because of the minibosses.

Host: "The midi versions aren't exactly the greatest."
Aaron: "...yeaaah."

You could tell there there will still a lot of people that didn't like NES in 2003. "We've got REALISM now, OK?

Damn, this really brings back a lot of memories. Fuck.

Also: I didn't realize that they were doing Goonies this far back.

There should really be a documentary about the Minibosses and their fanbase, because it's a pretty wild story. 20 years ago, three nerds deciding to cover some Nintendo songs would ultimately end up changing a lot of peoples lives, directly and indirectly. For me personally, on top of the countless times I've seen them live or amazing trips I've made both in state and cross country to spend time with people I've met thru their message board, I found out about chiptune here, and it's become a massive part of my life and my social circle. Basically at this point any close IRL friend I have that isn't my wife or Steph, are people I met thru the chip scene, people I very possibly (maybe even likely) would've never met if the Minibosses didn't exist. My life was changed and has been completely shaped by discovering some dudes playing Castlevania covers 19 years ago, even if I didn't know it at the time.
