I like Jacki's idea. It seems incredibly easy to get all this info compared to years ago, and the effort required to not buy something or buy an alternative is easy as well. Sure, the effect might be minimal but you can't just shoot for the moon. It's not like we are being asked to go somewhere or protest in public or risk arrest or be super vocal or whatever makes it kind of a pain to protest. Hell you aren't being asked to change your diet or anything. Just don't buy a case of High Life next time you are at the store. Even if it has little to no effect, it's worth the minimal effort on principle alone. I imagine though that if I really researched everything I buy, I would not want to purchase anything...
Oh well I can still drink Busch and Bud and Cobra and smoke Camels guilt free until I find out otherwise.
Jacki, this post is thanks to your 11:60 post a few weeks back

1. I think it's kinda hot.
2. Kinda seems weird to shave it all up and then put on something that makes it look like you didn't shave.
3. Also looks like sleep mask for your junk.

need to know the height of the rail and the height and width of each step to solve this.johnny is traveling on a skateboard at 10 miles an hour towards a 10 step handrail. He is using german bearings and old scchool slime ball wheels. there is 20 feet of distance between him and the rail, at what distance will johnny need to ollie to successfully execute a crooked grind to pop shoveit off?
i actually used mathematics to determine if i could clear a big grass gap once. mathematical estimation was that no, i probably could not.

#880039 firebombing in the office

how about "creating a local atmosphere"?crop dusting is when you fart while you are walking and leave a trail
Firebombing might not be the right term, but I just stay put and don't walk around spreading the love, if you know what I mean.
The best work bathroom story I have is from my old internship. A friend of mine worked there so we were chummy all the time. A bunch of us went to the Pizza Hut lunch buffet, and my friend and I were complaining about our bowel aches from excess pizza. We get back to the office and he darts to the bathroom. When he gets back to his desk he IMs me and says "You better get in there before someone else does." So I heed his advice and open the door to the stall to be greeted by a toilet bowl full of nasty pizza shits. Of course I cracked up at this sight, and was proud of my friend for taking such a huge risk on pranking me.

I was getting burritos with my roommate one day and saw a girl who apparently didn't shave her pits. I would have found pretty average looking until I noticed the bit of hair peeking out. I told my roommate about it on the way home and he was like "Gross."

#856208 GOP senator floats bill to tax historic homes
Posted by raubhimself on 28 January 2010 - 12:53 PM
I hope you don't think this is how I am thinking, because it's not. It's the can't have your cake and eat it too thing. You can upgrade your old home all you want. BUT, the more you upgrade the less historic it is. If you really value the historic and authentic value of it, upgrading goes completely against that. I honestly couldn't care less whether someone lives in a 200 year old dilapidated but authentic home or a 200 year old well kept but not really what it once was home. I certainly don't think we should be bulldozing old houses just because they are old. But at the end of the day this is a tax break to maintain some aesthetics which is kinda lame to me.everything's a futile attempt then.
Things get old and have to be torn down when the costs to maintain them outweigh the cost to tear down and build new.
60 year old homes in Phoenix don't require the maintenance that 200+ year old homes back East do. Different upkeep for different environments.
Our mentality that things are too old and outdated is such an American thing.
P.S. this is just one of those "I am bored and don't give a shit about work right now" moments so please, take this grain of salt. Also I wouldn't bitch one bit if I was a historic home owner so I'm a fucker like that.
