http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/2010/05/04/20100504phoenix-suns-los-suns-jerseys.html

"In announcing that the Suns would wear their "Los Suns" jerseys in recognition of playing Game 2 against San Antonio on Cinco de Mayo on Wednesday, Sarver also addressed the immigration bill that has been a divisive national topic since Gov. Jan Brewer enacted it into law April 23"

"The frustration with the federal government's failure to deal with the issue of illegal immigration resulted in passage of a flawed state law," Sarver said in a statement released by the Suns on Tuesday morning. "However intended, the result of passing this law is that our basic principles of equal rights and protection under the law are being called into question, and Arizona's already struggling economy will suffer even further setbacks at a time when the state can ill-afford them."

"There are times you need to stand up and be heard," Sarver said. "I respect people's views on the other side but I just felt it was appropriate for me to stand up and make a statement."

I'm glad that Sarver opted to take a stance on behalf of the team. He could have very easily taken a more pc route and said that the jerseys were in the spirit of cinco de mayo....

Amare may have made the best dunk of 2010 last night. So nasty, dayum! Suns are up to a 5 game streak and have some pretty easy teams coming up, would love to see them pull off a double-digit run B)

#877453 Tell me about the last time you got REALLY wasted...

Posted by Coward Crutch on 18 March 2010 - 05:11 PM

hmm....

I think I was 17 and getting a minor consumption for trying to steal a 5ft plastic pumpkin out of someone's yard just as a cop was rolling by(very poor timing). He was writing my ticket in front of the police car and said "stand over here please" to which I replied "WHAT, SKANK OVER HERE" and I skanked in front of where the cop was pointing....

#860885 Random facts about yourself.

Posted by Coward Crutch on 09 February 2010 - 04:03 PM

-I hunted a lot when I was really young. I've been veggie for 8 years, wish I had the restraint to go vegan.

- I still have a box full of troghies from when I played baseball; my dad pushed it on me very heavily. I broke my knuckle on my index finger while trying out for the junior high team and quit playing after I didn't make the cut.

- I skateboarded for a number of years. In high school I ollied an upright trashcan at the Chandler skate park, feeling it to be the pinnacle of my ability I stopped skating several months later.

- I worked as a mall security guard soon after high school. One day I watched a maintenance guy crash through a ceiling and fall to his death right in front of me, I quit the next day.

- For some reason I very seldom enjoy listening to punk or indie-esque rock these days. The appeal just isn’t there anymore.

- At one time my dad was a lefty-hippy-poon-chasing-college professor at U of A, my mom was an attractive-self-obsorbed-over-privlaged-trust-fund-baby persuing her nursing degree at that same University. They hooked up and made me B)
