I got to meet him at MAGFest in the shizz suite. Positive and chill, yet filled with energy just waiting to be unleashed. He also had the longest tongue I've ever seen in person. We lost a good man. It was a pleasure to meet him. He will be missed.
3ngag3/Tri: I understand your curiosity, but now is not the time. There is nothing Sean could have done in the past to deserve being murdered in cold blood. He was just visiting his three-year-old son, whom he loved, and was shot at ten times by his ex-mother-in-law, whom he also loved.
Now is the time to celebrate Sean's acts of kindness, to recognize the impact he has left on us, to honor his legacy, to give him as much love and passion and enthusiasm as he gave to each and everyone of us. He deserves no less than our 100%, just as he gave his 100%. Sean is worth it, and he will be missed.
i love you all and i'm here for anyone who wants to ever talk or chat or vent or rage. i'll be over here in the corner also venting and raging and hyperventilating at the thoughts of what has happened and what may potentially yet come to pass.
I'm slightly less cynical about what might happen, because part of me is expecting a plea deal before this goes too far. But, if this goes to trial, I'll be very specific about what to prepare for. I hate to do it, but, like norg said, preparation. You can be almost certain of two bogus lines of attack against his character. They might not be phrased in exactly this way or this explicitly, but the gist of it will be there.
One: He was one of those long-haired heavy metal fans. You know that those people are violent, always in the mosh pit, flailing around and hurting people. So, it's totally possible that he threatened the defendant with violence and she was legitimately scared for her safety.
Two: He was a disgusting sex pervert whose wife left him because he was a disgusting sex pervert. The subtext will be that it's no great loss that he's gone and can no longer hurt his wife or expose his son to his filthy perversion. They'll work the same subtext for point #1, too, but not as heavily.
I was really mad when I saw the defense lawyer's comment about Daemon's "deeply disturbing history," but the defense will almost certainly try to bring this stuff out.
No matter what anyone says we all know what an incredible and positive person Sean was.
Sam, the Neon Orange Knight
Haters gonna hate. Sick people will do anything, ANYTHING to drag someone's name through mud. It's disgusting and disappointing.
