----- flagstaff youth project grand opening #2

September 3rd & 4th are going to be the grand (re)opening of Studio 111 in Flagstaff, Az. under new management of the Flagstaff Youth Project.

The Flagstaff Youth Project (F.Y.P) is going to work at making Studio 111 the great ALL AGES ALL THE TIME venue to host your art shows, seminars, meetings, workshops, and music events in Flagsaff. We're currently working on getting a good set of house equipment for use by the public such as a house PA system, video projector, locker system for arts equipment, supplies for workshops, clean orderly space for displaying art, and a whole lot more! We're in the process of applying for non-profit status, and are aiming our sights high in helping out the kids in their endeavors.

So, you might be asking yourself, how are we going to start it off?

We're going to be kicking it off right on September 3rd during Flagstaff's First Friday Art Walk. The theme is "High School" art, because, even though we might be older, we can all still be young at heart. We're accepting art for this show, as we request that you submit only art done in high school or during your teenage years of 15-18. We also request a short bio what you were like during those years, along with a high school mug shot / photo. Check out the contact info below! Art Walk is usually from around 5pm-9pm.

To round up the night, we'll also be having a super fun music show. Local rockers Ponies will be playing along with touring bands BARR, Snowsuit (member of xbxrx) and Tucson electronique self promotion geniuses Bark Bark Bark. This will be a night to dance away and remember. The show will be $3 and will start around 9pm.

We don't stop there, no we don't...

September 4th we'll continue the grand opening all day with over 10 local bands, food by Food Not Bombs, and many other cool things to be announced, all to benefit the F.Y.P thus benefitting you! Be there to help support the youth, be there to support the arts, be there to have an all around good time.

Tentative list of bands:
-I Hate You When You're Pregnant (pop)
-Young Princes of Darkness (rock)
-JETOMI (rock)

REUBENS ACCOMPLICE (www.reubensaccomplice.com) Jeff Bufano has the heart of a city-cynic,
