This is a benefit show for Amy Dykes, part of the duo of I Am the World Trade Center, an electronic, dancey Blondie meets New Order group. She has Hodgkins Lymphoma and is undergoing chemotherapy. She has limited medical insurance.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Music starts at 8 p.m. $8, all going to Amy
The bands are:
- Brodie Hubbard, local guitarist playing and singing with his own unique style
- Futurekind, local, electronic band similar to Portishead and Morcheeba
- Colorstore, local Shizz band
- The Reflection, local, Stones influenced
- Mighty Six Ninety, from LA, Smiths sounding
- The Pacific, from LA, Brit-pop
- Silent Gray, from LA, just opened up for Concrete Blonde, they describe themselves as a cross between Franz Ferdinand, The Cure and Morrissey
DJ Manchester spinning Brit-pop, indie, new wave and 60s in the Elbow Room.
Giveaways from new albums by Bjork and Prodigy.
It's Labor Day weekend so come out and have some fun for a good cause.
