Skybox w/ The Actual (Eyeball Records), Let Go (The Militia Group) & Adam Panic @ Modified Arts

The Actual unite teenage pop-punkers and chin-scratching rock-critic snobs in admiration of their uncommonly intelligent powerpop. Three years of constant touring, an album on Eyeball Records and songs on soundtracks for "Bewitched" and "The Underclassman" have cemented the Los Angeles trio's reputation as THE pop-punk band for people with more than half a brain. And we thought there was no such thing!

Singer/guitarist Max Bernstein and brothers Jeremy and Aaron Bonsall on bass and drums. Bernstein and the Bonsalls work up a racket that would make the greatest of trios from Motorhead to Green Day proud, topped off with intelligent and witty lyrics which more often than not betray Bernstein's gene pool (Max is the son of Watergate journalist Carl Bernstein and humor writer Nora Ephron.)

In the spring of 2005 The Actual caught the attention of rock legend Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots/Velvet Revolver) and he and VR producer Doug Grean promptly invited The Actual to their Burbank, CA studio and in between the bands stint on the Warped Tour and a string of shows with Velvet Revolver cranked out the band's second album which will be released in early 2006.
