Showhibition, a new comedy cabaret event produced by Jacki O. and Ron Babcock, will premiere on Friday, October 21, 2011at 10:00PM at Filmbar, located at 815 North 2nd Street in downtown Phoenix.
The show promises to be an eclectic evening of comedy, performance and fun. The premiere of Showhibition will feature headliner Andrew Rollins DeWitt (from Lollapalooza, Carson Daly, and Second City), stand up by Ron Babcock (Upright Citizens Brigade, HBO, FunnyorDie.com), amazing burlesque from Provocatease, performance art by Ernesto “Ernasty” Moncada, a special Halloween-themed performance from dance troupe Tap That Ass, and an interactive game show from comics Ron Folingio and Genevieve Rice, titled “Internet: The Game Show” and much more. Jacki O. will host the show. Tickets are $5.00 at the door. Doors at 9PM, show starts at 10PM.
The Filmbar just received a 2011 Phoenix New Times Best of Award for best independent microcinema and features a unique theater space and bar with over 30 different craft beers and 15 different wines.
Showhibition is Phoenix’s only quarterly comedy extravaganza featuring prominent stand-up comics from Los Angeles as well as burlesque, performance art, video, dance and more from Phoenix artists, all under one roof.
