i don't generally donate money to aid groups (mostly because i don't have any) but today i did and i just wanted to provide a list of aid groups that you might consider donating to. i'm sure i don't have to describe to any of you how atrocious and horrible this recent disaster has been and will continue to be.

The following are accepting donations for aid they or affiliates will provide to those affected by the deadly tsunami in Asia.
If you are looking for information on a U.S. citizen feared missing, contact the U.S. State Department at 888-407-4747, or, from overseas, at 317-472-2328.

Sorry for any repeats but here is a list of non-profit organizations that my company is affiliated with. It sounds like the most important item they can use at this time is $$$$. You worker bees may want to check with your employers before you donate (gift) any money. For example, my employer matches gifts dollar for dollar ( $1 : $1 )to these organizations. And these gifts are tax deductible

Anyone see the O'Reilly factor last night? They were saying how the victims were blaming the U.S. I didn't hear about these acusations anywhere else, however.

from what i know.. the initial aid package (probably devised before the 'stingy' comment was made) was set for 35mil. I admit that I don't know much about assembling foreign aid packages, but compared to other areas of governmental spending, it does seem a little pathetic. but then again, so does my ten bucks.

Oh yeah, I'm sure we were a little stingy. The O'Reilly Factor dudes were saying that the people were blaming us for the tsunami though.

maybe responsible in the sense that there were no adequate warnings which could have prevented countless lives lost...

i'm no expert - just relaying the sentiment. i don't know, perhaps we have more advanced technology over here for predicting earthquakes, etc, and nothing was done. asian governments have also been criticized.
