hey is there anyone here that would be remotely interested in starting a pixies tribute band?

I've been interested in doing one for a while, but could never find people. I actually know people who will remain nameless who "never really listened to that stuff"

I can do a killer black francis impression: Caribooooooou!

and I've been playing songs off of "doolittle" since I was 16.

There is not a bigger (literally) PIXIES fan on this site but I play bass and it would be a shame to disrespect the memory of the Pixies by having a 250lb 6'5" soccer dad playing the part of Kim Deal (Mrs John Murphy for you true old schoolers)

John, you are a pretty good drummer. The Pixies drummer didn't pave any new roads, so to speak.

Mike, I think you would make a sexy Kim Deal, and since you already own all those dresses, why the hell not?

well here are some addendums:

-- Ideally i'd like it to be a one-off consisting of a "pull out all the stops" performance at a yet to be booked halloween party.

--- so...... we need a party.

---we need a place to rehearse. cuz I don't have one.

--- the drummer would need to be enough of a hi-hat ninja to pull off "tame"--(got hips like cinderella, fall on your face.....etc.)

---- I don't see a problem with a multiple member ensemble--w/ instrument switching-- also if you can pull off a rippin' kim deal vocal impression w/out the bass chops --i don't see a problem.
