okay, so pistols at dawn are on the alternate list to perform at summerfest in milwaukee in a couple of months. the thing is, our bassist moved to pennsylvania in march, and our drummer can't make the tour work with his schedule. with that in mind, does anyone want to learn a dozen songs and go on tour? you would sort of get paid - your travel and lodging would be covered, and we could provide a small stipend for meals/bullshit.

we need a drummer and a bass player. or a guitar player who's willing to play bass (we have the gear). if you're already in a band that's cool, as long as you can take the time to go on the tour and rehearse. it would require approximately 16 days on the road, starting in late june and running through early july.

and yes, i realize this is kind of a longshot idea. we've done this before, and i have most of the angles covered, so is anyone interested?

wow that's a bummer man, I would love to do something like that, but I know I couldn't get that kind of time off from work.

yeah, i figured that would be the biggest issue for people. we did it last year in november for a festival up in vancouver. i think in the end we "lost" about $500, which isn't bad considering we spent 2 weeks travelling up and down the west coast. it was the cheapest vacation i've ever had.
