Question:
Why is it $60 to see a hugely popular band, where you go to an arena and watch them play on the TV screen above the stage while some 18 year old kid with a wallet chain jumps up and down on your ingrown toenails? Meanwhile, you can go see some really talented bands and stand undisturbed 3 feet away from them while they play, talk to them a bit afterwards, and have a great time... all for a meager five bucks.
Does anybody else see how backwards that is?

mike i totally agree, 60 bucks is a whole mess of value meals, although i did see an ad for steely dan which i was tempted to pay through the nose, and am still thinking about, sort of.

I'm down with Steely Dan. It seems that song "Peg" got stuck in my head when I was about 5 and I spent 20 years trying to figure out who the fuck played it. The problem was I thought they said "Hey, it will come back to you" instead of "Peg, it will come back to you". So even after I found out it was Steely Dan a few years ago it took some time for me to narrow down what song it was.
Now I own "A Decade of Steely Dan".
And no, I am not ashamed.

yea i like steely dan way more then radiohead, they sing about hokers and drug addicts and stuff.

Steely Dan was on NPR last week too, they seemed like really cool guys, not all full of themselves.
I dig their music too.
