Who said that "roots" rock has to be this tepid Americana crap? Not the Blasters. And certainly not Mr. Al Perry. We offer you a fun-filled Friday evening as part of our Congo Roots Rehab program with two, that's right, you read that right, TWO headliners.
Topping the bill is Al Perry and his band. Recently returned from a successful Tour de France, complete with sellouts in Paris, cheese, Art Brut, and riots, even, Perry is refreshed and ready to rock. Loren "Meatman" Dircks will be featured on guitar.
Displaying a musical wisdom that belies their youthfulness, SoCal country-rock hearthrobs (look at that photo!)Limbeck will occupy the middle slot. If you haven't seen them before, you are in for a treat. They are house favorites here and we assume will soon be playing much bigger venues.
You may recall a few Fridays back, some friends from Phx played a set with Golden Boots. Fronted by a beautiful woman with an equaly beautiful voice, Lonna Kelly & the Reluctant Messiahs easily found themselves a home right here in Tucson, & we delightedly put out the welcome mat once again.
A mere $5 willl gain you entrance to this excellent show.

Sad to say that Kevin Pate and Jim Miles won't be able to play the show with us, but, um, Shane and I would like to humbly thank Mark, Robin and Dave (colorstore/sweetbleeders) for filling in. Thanks guys....yeah...ok....more grapefruit please.
