I did a couple of police ride alongs when I was younger. Once in Mexico, I didn't have much say in the matter and the machine guns convinced me that it was in my best interest. I always complain that I am too tall to sit in "coach" but I am really too tall to comfortably sit handcuffed in the back of a police car.
Once in Mesa by choice, and it was pretty "quiet" that night. I had told the officer about my dad being a cop in Detroit and some of his stories so this guy was just looking for an excuse to bust someones head open the rest of the night.

what prompted you to go on a ride-along?

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

Sorry to ramble. If you think I never shut up, buy my old man a couple of Vodka/Tonics sometime and make yourself comfortable.

When he got back he started college and got into a shouting match with some "hippie" professor
i was failed by a vietnam vet who was my history proffesor, the first and only class i failed. i went to talk to him about my 69.3% (anything below 70 percent was failing) and he had no sympathy for me
i can't help but think it's because his legs were blown off in the war,
either that or i just didn't apply myself
-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

About 8 years ago there was a vote on some proposition that the Firefighters union opposed. So my friend's dad paid us to drive around the city at night and take down all the signs supporting the proposition. Heh heh. Breakin' the law.
By the way, don't forget to vote in favor of all 7 propositions on the ballot coming up.
