i need some names of places that will change tubes and bias. i have either a late 60's early 70's twin reverb that i know has to be rebiased. i also have a mid 80's blues deville. does this amp need to be rebiased or are these types that there is no need to.
thx

I always recommend Field Services on Thomas and 24th street. Their turnaround time is running a little long these days, but maybe not for something quick like biasing.

yeah, new power tubes and rebias should be a quick, routine thing. any shop that does amp work ought to be able to get this right. both amps should be biased, but I bet the blues deville is probably simply a matter of adjusting a small pot on the circuitboard, whereas the twin will probably need to have a resistor or two switched. you CAN do this yourself, but there's so much bad info out there that you'd probably be better off letting someone do the job for you. enjoy.
