I was told the lounge in the Hotel Monte Vista was a cool place to book a show with a bunch of bands...is this true? If not, is there any other decent place in Flagstaff to play? I've done searches, but I can't find much, so I appreciate any help you guys can throw my way!

After Any Accident and Vin Fiz played there together about two years ago. It was cool, they did a guarantee of $150 (split between the two bands) and provide you with a group room with two bunk beds for you to crash on.

There are many people on this board who know a lot more about Flagstaff booking than I do though so maybe I shouldn't have even posted.

No, thanks for posting! That is pretty much what I was told they offer,
so I'm glad to hear it.

I've always had a great time playing the "Monte V", especially since it is always a lot cooler up there than here in Phx..There are some killer places to eat nearby and they keep their beer nice and cold in the bar. The hotel has a lot of character. We've met homeless guys sleeping on the roof before and the train will wake your ass up at ridiculous intervals. I do recommend having a cooler of beer waiting for you in the room. It's easy to get shitty in the bar knowing that you just have to go upstairs to crash and before you know it the bar is closed and so are the liquor stores. The bar has hooked us up before for some "take out" but don't count on it. Have fun and let me or John know if you want Vin Fiz or AAA to join you!

BTW,I don't recommend playing the theme music from "Halloween" on the lobby piano at 2am. <_<

And I don't recommend unscrewing every light bulb on the second floor at 2 AM. John.

Hey, is Vin-Fiz or AAA down for this show? That would be sweet!
If so, pm me and I'll give you my phone number; my email is
pretty sketchy right now.

Missouri's number one import? Whiskey. Missouri's number one export? Sadness...

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.
