some is / some is not

i guess the unscripted people signed an 18 page waiver to allow their parts in the movie. i don't think they read the waiver.

Yeah, there were so many points where it was totally embarrassing. Like when he went on the news show. I just felt horribly embarrassed for the clueless newscasters.

And I wonder about the people who were in the movie who are just now finding out it was fake, such as the frat boys and the rodeo people.

The car dealer was on a radio show here and seemed like a pretty decent guy, he took it pretty well. They all noted several times that he didn't really make himself look nearly as bad as most of the other people did.

I really didn't think the fratboys were ALL that bad by comparison... :/

Well, some parts were funny because of what horrible things Borat was doing, and others were funny in their horrible responses to him. The car salesman, the humor coach, the feminist group, the black kids, and the etiquette people all seemed nice. They didn't embarass themselves, he embarassed them.

yeah, i think that's half of what he wants to do -
parts in the movie like the bear scaring the kids
coming to get ice cream etc are in their just for
pure comedy and not for some social commentary.

there are two kinds of borat interviews from the
show and the movie, and they both work -
the kind where you feel embarassed for the
uncomfortable, honest interviewee, and the
kind where you feel uncomfortable because of
the idiot, ignorant interviewee. i'm glad both
are in there, i like how he switches it up.
