Instead of posting a million tiny threads for every Galapagos or Galapagos-related happening, I figured I'd just post a million post in one big thread.

Though we don't have an official Galapagos show until the First Saturday of January (@ The Trunk Space, 7pm!), here goes some other stuff that's going on this weekend - Mega Bingo Jam, Chicken & Waffles, and Kickball. Chicken, Waffles, & Kickball is on Saturday; I can't really think of a better primer for the Colorstore CD release show (or the Hammered Dr. Destructo show @ Trunk Space):

The 2nd Annual PHX Improvisor NYE Weekend (Friday, December 29th & Saturday, December 30th)

The New Year's Eve weekend is swiftly approaching, so the Phoenix improv community is gonna get fancy and throw some Ds on it!

Phase 1:

Mega Bingo Jam @ Entertainment Alley

Galapagos & The Originals present Mega Bingo Jam! Improvisors will be randomly selected onto teams of about 7 for a 20-25 minute longform performance. Mega Bingo Jam is free to watch or to participate! (Special thanks to the Originals' Matt Rosin for hooking it up!)

Mega Bingo Jam will take place right after The Originals' 8pm performance, so feel free to come down early!

Entertainment Alley is on Scottsdale Road, between McDowell and Thomas, right next to Frasher's Steakhouse and Kam's Garden.

Phase 2:

Lolo's Chicken & Waffles

If you've never been to Lolo's Chicken & Waffles, come on down and find out why it's famous amongst improvisors all over Phoenix and all over the country. If you have been to Lolo's, re-up and spend some quality time with their succulent fried chicken and delectably golden brown waffles!

Lolo's is located on the northwest corner of Central Ave. & Yuma St. Yuma is just two streets south of Buckeye Rd. Buckeye Rd. is just one mile south of Van
Buren. Van Buren is a 1/2 mile south of I-10.

Phase 3:

Kickball @ Encanto Park
Saturday, December 30th

15th Avenue & Encanto Blvd.

Our last attempt at kickball ended up winding down to a humans-versus-trees showdown and included Bill Binder plumbing the depths of the murky Encanto Lagoon. You won't want to miss out!

Encanto Park is located on the northeast corner of 15th Avenue & Encanto Blvd. Encanto Blvd. is between McDowell Road & Thomas Road.

Galapagos is at The Trunk Space tonight (Saturday, Feb 3rd)
The show starts at 8pm and is $5

The All-City Bingo Jam is a longform improv jam with improvisors from all over the valley (with the occasional out of town guest.

Bingo Jam starts at 9:30pm and is free to play in or watch!

This is what's happening this week:

Galapagos performs longform improvisation in Downtown Phoenix at The Trunk Space, every First Saturday of the month. The show starts at 8pm sharp.  Admission is $5.

At 9:30pm, Galapagos hosts the All-City Bingo Jam which features special guest improvisors from groups all over the valley.

Guest improvisors from myriad groups from all over the valley and state are randomly selected onto teams. These instant ensembles then put on a display of longform improv prowess.

The All-City Bingo Jam is free to watch or perform in.

The Trunk Space is located at 1506 NW Grand Avenue on the corner of 15th Avenue, Roosevelt, and Grand - next to Bikini Lounge.
