Lucky Boy is faster and cheaper than Welcome Diner... the Diner is a a cool old Rt66 style diner, while Lucky Boy is what every fast-food burger joint should aspire to.

as far as chains go..In n Out...
and I used to love the burgers at der Weinerschnitzel in Tempe.
I used to have a bit of a hamburger fetish....I've purged myself of it, & greatly reduced my Carne Asada Burrito intake.
But, oh....
mmmm.......... hamburgers

After my first burger there, I got mad at all the other chain burgers I've been wasting my time eating.
Good fries too.
(Quick tangent: I once ordered a triple cheeseburger there and they accidentally made it as a quadruple...It was the most beautiful and revolting thing I've ever eaten {well, for the purposes of this post anyway}. So it's a good value too...)

They used to be different. Hardees used to be really good. Their frisco burger was a weekly staple for me and they had better fried chicken than KFC (not that that's hard to do). Also, their breakfast biscuits were the best I've ever had. But yeah, sometime between 1998 and 2003 or so, their menu switched over to the Carl's Jr menu, and they are no longer an east coast destination for me. Not that I even eat fast food burgers any more.I didn't realized that Carl's Jr and Hardees are sort of sister companies? Coz when I went to east coast, they have the similar stuffs there at Hardees just like Carl's Jr. Guess I'm just stupid to realize they are one and the same.

What I would really like to share is that AJ's has Kobe beef burgers. Kobe beef is from the Japan-raised cattle that they massage daily and all that stuff, and the prime cuts sell for about $100 a pound. It seems nobody really wants the chuck roast cut from these cows and it sells for significantly less. AJ's has it in half pound patties for $6 per pound ($3 per patty). Add a couple slices of Applewood Smoked bacon and for less than 5 bucks you have one hell of a fucking burger.

Personally,I love Carl's Jr menu. I find nothing wrong with their new burgers either.I actually love their new ones ( the fresco burger, i agree is really awesome too) like the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich. It actually tastes good and the hot sauce- perfect.
