The Dark Knight Teaser Trailer

Ingmar Bergman dies, Warner Bros. releases the teaser trailer for The Dark Knight on director Christopher Nolan's 37th birthday. When one door closes, something opposite yet equal happens like a teaser trailer or something.

Yea, so I heard they were doing yet another one of those Dark Knight viral scavenger hunt things, and there was one in Philly, so Solobuns and I figured why not.

It was pouring rain. That sucked but oh well. There were a good 100 people milling about. Then people were on their phones with friends at home once it was time to start getting instructions, then we'd get follow the instructions ("Count the stairs' kind of thing and that would be a # for a code to be put together).

By the end though, we snaked our way down to a movie theater where there was a dude dressed as a Joker goon handing out Joker playing cards... turned out the card acted as a ticket to go into the theater and see the new trailer.

Trailer was sweet as hell, but who really thought it wouldn't be... lots of Joker, and lots of Harvey Dent.

I'm pretty shocked at how in-depth this viral campaign is... my housemates friend got a random call from Joker one day who told him to go to a location.... he got there and there was a cake, a joker card, and a cell phone, which Joker called. Kind of neat I suppose.

sucks this movie isn't out for a while.

i am seeing a sneak preview of ironman tonight!!!!!!! it doesn't look that good but i've decided to go into movies with no expectations so that i can emerge mildly amused.

my roommate won the pass for dressing up like ironman in a costume costest at samurai comics on saturday. it's her pass.

she doesn't look like him, unfortunately....but she loves both ironman and robert downey jr. separately so i have a feeling that this movie will be a win-win for her no matter what. She's been emailing me all day, she's very excited about tonight....

Nerds far greater than my roommate out-waited us for this event and we didn't get to go. I had to buy my roomie some beer at BevMo to dissolve the disappointment in her eyes.

apparantly there was nerd camping involved prior to the admittance for the preview.

she is going to see it tomorrow though.
