The 7th Annual Phoenix Improv Festival is here!
Friday, April 4th - Sunday, April 6th
It's going on at the Herberger Theater in Downtown Phoenix. Tickets are only $15 (except for Sunday - $10 to catch as many shows as you want)! (When was the last time a primetime Herberger Theater show -- that wasn't the Lunchtime Theater -- was that affordable? Plus, there's no drink or item minimum or any of that.)
All the info is at http://www.phoeniximprovfestival.com.
This is pretty much what we work toward year-round.
We have some of the best performers from Phoenix, Los Angeles, Austin, Salt Lake City, NYC, and Chicago coming to perform. They've performed all over the country and the world and they're here for you!
Also, though they're amazing improvisational actors and performers, we have TJ & Pete who you'll recognize from the Sonic commercials. They've popped up in a few feature films and Pete is also a writer for the Colbert Report.
Dan Bakkedahl, formerly of The Daily Show, will also be popping up in a two-person show called Zumpf. His Zumpf-mate is Miles Stroth. Miles Stroth was Del Close's go-to guy. Del Close was basically the teacher and mentor to all of your SNL favorites that happened to pass through Second City - Belushi, Bill Murray, Akroyd, Gilda, Farley, etc.
So, yeah ...
