This morning was awesome.
The overcast sky and cool wind made everything seem a little surreal.
For once, I turned off the stereo in the car and just rolled the windows down to enjoy the last 12 minutes of relative freedom
before chaining myself up in a carpeted box to trade hours of my life for money.
Good morning schizzers.

my carpeted box that I trade hours of my life for money has no windows, it's all fluorescent lighting, I hate it.
I should take a break and walk around the building while I still can!!!!

I brought a full spectrum lamp in and put it in my cube.
Also one of those ridiculous fountain things with little rocks.
I can't really prove cause and effect, but I am happy to say I have not had to jam my thumbs into the eyesockets of any coworkers since putting those two things on my desk.

I decided to take the bus to work yesterday instead of driving. I didn't leave work until 6:30 or so, when it was cooling off and windy. I didn't mind that the bus was late by 15 minutes, I sat in the breeze and relaxed. This morning, I made it a point to go look at my grape vine and citrus trees, see how they're doing, spend a little time in the cool breeze and overcast skies.

yeah it's sooooo nice. I had breakfast outside on my back patio this morning with my dog.....such a nice morning, pity it has to be ruined by spending the next 8 hours in a windowless room staring at the computer screen reading about people dying in a bus fire.
