last week i finally fished watching all of the Heroes Season 1 DVD (bought it the day it came out!)

i've been watching The Office a lot when i can catch it, which makes me think i should get the DVDs and watch them all. Top Chef is over now, so something needs to take its place.

other than that i don't really watch TV very consistently.

i really liked the British Office when it first came out and wasn't too into the American one when it premiered but I've been watching the later seasons of the American Office and it is really good! Now i watch the British one and am kinda disappointed.

The character development of some of the more minor characters on the American version is soooo good. I feel like the British one didn't have time to really blossum.

Real Life by Albert Brooks

"A pushy, narcissistic filmmaker persuades a Phoenix family to let he and his crew film their everyday lives"

Made in 1979, it's fascinating to see Albert Brooks' guess for what reality entertainment would someday be. I really enjoyed this, but if you're not an Albert Brooks fan, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. If you are, I would.

Also, I've been revisiting the Simpsons again. Episode of note: Homer's Enemy: The Frank Grimes ("Or Grimey as he liked to be called") story. One of the darkest episodes (for The Simpsons universe at least), yet so very, very good.

I saw The Strangers and The Happening over the weekend. Last night, I somehow made it through The Bucket List. Today, I am going to watch They Live.

Man, how I wish Milly/Willy or The Peanut Butter Solution would come on television.

Heh, yeah, the Simpsons is pretty much impossible for me not to watch when I get home from work.

I'm rewatching the original Indiana Jones Trilogy.

Wow, I've watched parts of all three Indiana Jones movies this weekend (was on TV), watched Juno for the first time last week, and of course, my DVD player is always open to Tim & Eric, Tom Goes to the Mayor, UCB, or WonderShowzen.

How was The Happening? I am a little intrigued with this movie despite Marky Mark being in it.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

Hilarious, but the Next Food Network Star has ended up on my TV, and I have ended up hooked on it.

The grey haired judge is totally infatuated with the indian chick, otherwise she would have been booted since she has sucked at pretty much everything.

Mig- Jef and I were just talking about how this really has to happen before the end of the summer. So let's discuss.

And Jacki- it was the worst M. Night film I had ever seen. And since I really hated the Village, that's saying a lot...or a little...depending on how you look at it? I mean, there were a couple of decent parts and Marky Mark keeps his right brow cocked throughout, but that's to be expected. They tell you what it is at the beginning and then they don't even extend it past that. It's not characteristic of his previous work. He said in an interview that he expected to get bad reviews because he wanted it to be a really good B-movie. Well, I say that he missed the mark even on a B movie. On Oh No They Didn't, someone had retrieved a copy of his original screenplay and noted that it had been rejected by several production companies before finally being rewritten into a little more Hollywood-esque style. So, long story short...it was ok, at best. Probably not worth the $9.75 to go see it.
