Hihi!! Thru the Wires is back this March with a very, very special set from the inimitable MICHNA! Check it out!

MICHNA w/ Raw Paw

Note: Michna will be performing with a full band, RAW PAW, and the set will include a full audio/visual assault with 8 televisions, smoke machine, LED freakouts, a horn section, acoustic drummer, with Michna orchestrating the whole affair from his command station, this is gonna be f'ing rock n roll.

Born Adrian Michna, DJ/producer Michna combines instrumental hip-hop, electro, and IDM. Starting out his musical career as a trombonist on the N.Y.C. circuit, playing ska music in the Lion's Den and CBGB before he was old enough to get served at the bar, in the mid-'90s he moved to Miami and founded the enigmatic DJ collective Secret Frequency Crew along with Matthew Brown and Matt Friedman. Their song "Miami Eyes" became a favorite among the underground DJ community and caught the attention of Diplo. In need of beats for his forthcoming album, he enlisted the help of Michna (then going by the name DJ Egg Foo Young) to produce some of his tracks. From there, Michna got bitten by the producer bug and dialed in the frequencies behind the boards for a number of albums, including Bonde do Rolę's With Lasers and Secret Frequency Crew's own debut. Ghostly International head honcho Sam Valenti became a huge fan of Forest of the Echo Downs' laid-back trip-hop vibe, and after listening to some solo demos, he invited Michna to join the Ghostly roster alongside likeminded artists Dykehouse and Flying Lotus. Michna moved to Brooklyn and released his debut LP Magic Monday in 2008, featuring artwork by his friends in the Miami art collective Friends with You.

ELIOT LIPP

From Tacoma to San Francisco to Chicago to Los Angeles to New York, producer Eliot Lipp has always followed the music. Creating songs that, according to XLR8R, “tickle days after the last spin,” he combines hip-hop influenced drum programming with the vintage synthesizer sounds found in the cutting edge electronic music of the 70s. Eliot Lipp’s early career saw him vigorously honing his skill on the club circuit where his fresh and daring take on hip-hop impressed Scott Herren (Prefuse 73) so much that he put out his 2004 debut LP on Eastern Developments. Subsequent successful releases on Hefty Records have continued to expand his audience and refine his craft. Now, Mush is thrilled to bring offerings of Eliot Lipp’s timeless yet novel interpretation of electro-funk to the people.

JARED ALAN

The proprietor of phx's hot shit 'Faux Show Productions' and the booty rave sausage fest 'Cheap Thrills' is coming to beatdown a freqnasty glitchatak idm nervous breakdown of boots-knockin electronic floor fillers... come see the other side of this veritable pillar of the scene.

LIVING HUMANS BEING

Rob & Mark molest hip-hop with their electro-acoustic touch, bringing a screen of fuzz, a dab o' freak, and a trunk of extra bump to the proceedings.
