thru the wires & peloton musique present: FREQOUT!
From those demented boys at Thru the Wires, home of the misfit genres, and Phoenix's techno illuminati at Peloton Musique comes the first installment of a newly christened night designed specifically for the Valley’s electro freqs. Forming like Voltron on the dancefloors of Homme, Freqout! has a stated M.O. of kidnapping and forcing to play nice producers, DJ's, and performance artists sharing the common goal of gettin sweaty and knockin out a freqy party. With 5 in the front representing the spectrum of Phx's DJ community and 5 in the back bringing total live PA insanity, Freqout! defies divisiveness by bringing to the forefront the best of dubstep, techno, minimal, glitch, breakcore, fidget, and the boombap side of house in a kaleidoscopic pastiche of everything we love about electronic music and its bottomless expressive potential.Get in on the ground floor with us, and let's get freqy!!
Headliners!
METROGNOME
on the danceteria stage
From the dusty deserts of Tucson, and deep within his nest of buzzing cabling and incomprehensible machinery, Karl White brings us the future of everything... The live set must be seen to be believed, utilizing Karl's personal Reaktor based system of software utilities, projected to a large canvas, and controlled via infrared transmission aided by Wiimotes and finger pointers. The sound falls somewhere between a classic IDM aesthetic reminiscent of Richard Devine or the Schematic label, underscored with a booming techno sensibility, and flavored with masterful strokes of electro ala Phoenicia or Silicon Scally. A vital member of AZ's colossally fabulous "Not Breathing", and the 2nd place winner of the recent Laptop Battle, dude's worth the price of admission alone.
CAPTAIN MARMALADE
on the disasterteria stage
Hailing from a farflung corner of the sunshine state, the Captain is a certified chiptune freq with an eye to the expansion of the term in and of itself. Not content to simply rock a Sid Chip, Marmalade's live PA is a schizophrenic pile of gear: 8-bit, analog, and digital, upon which he goes ballistic like he's got 16 arms. The sound is every NES game soundtrack gangbanging each other live to an audience of breakbeats and vocoded robots, with a tsunami of glitch effects supersoaking the whole affair. We recommend bringing extra hip joints so you don't bust a gasket.

Shane Silkey
A major arm of the Are Friends Electrik? collective, the Upstairs years at Homme, and now proprietor of the whitehot techno label Peloton Musique, Shane brings top shelf techno and minimal to the floor, his presence rendering flights to Berlin pointless.
Drekxi
The maiden voyage of DJ Drekxi, bringing an eclectic set from the deranged, wonky fringes of fidget, tech-house, bass, and booty. He parties weird yo.
