i'm just getting to work but i've already got an email letting me know that that dept i interviewed for on tuesday wants to talk to me again. so hopefully that's good news. i think you usually just get a "dear john" type letter if they're not interested. so it'd be cool if they want to offer me the job but i think i'm ready if they want to go a round two interview.

tonight we're hearing up to my family's cabin in pine for the weekend. it's the perseid meteor shower this weekend so that should be pretty awesome (despite the full moon). gonna try and hit up tonto natural bridge because some dicknose ousted me as the mayor just yesterday! >:-/ so maybe that and kicking it in the river or fossil creek. hopefully it's at least 20 degrees cooler.

I very HIGHLY recommend Fossil Creek. make sure you are driving a vehicle that has pretty good clearance. Our Prius wasn't stoked about that drive down that bumpy ass road. It's only 8 miles but takes 45 mins in a regular car. Bring lunch, you'll want to stay down there forever! And get some goat fudge on the way down there at the goat dairy farm. excellent!

oh i'm familiar with that road. and not being a fan of heights, i am not a fan of that road. shit's scary, son! haven't done the goat fudge thing tho so that sounds interesting.

that is indeed awesome.

had a blast in flagstaff. steve martin and the steep canyon rangers were downright amazing. steve's comdey in between songs was perfect. just the right mix of wit and amazing musicianship. i STRONGLY recommend seeing them should they come through again. the weather in flag was awesome and we stayed with my gf's cousin and her boyfriend in an awesome cabin/house out of town and cruised some hills/trails in this utv razor thing he's got that was pretty bad ass.

yesterday definitely felt like a friday. well, i guess wednesday did too. spend wednesday at the bondurant high performance driving school racing cars'n shit! then went to a work lunch after and then hung out with my new team for a bit before heading home. yesterday i had to be at work but i came in like 3hrs late after taking care of my flood irrigation. the rest of the day just flew by. to make up for that tho.. i'm here 2 1/2hrs early today. 5am! didn't really mind at all. pretty much already did everyone's work hours before anyone shows up. today is gonna be super chill. right after work, we're heading to some time share place in palm springs to pretty much hang by the pool for three days. pretty excited for that. i've been on the wagon for pretty much the last 3 months. i may take some time off from that this weekend.

(you may notice i haven't posted about doing yard/house work in several weeks. lawnmower is in the shop. gonna be a bitch when i'm finally able to tackle it )

flying to boston tonight after work. hangin' with some of my best bros and buds all weekend for a bachelor party. driving down to PA with them and hanging with the family until friday. then it's wedding time. hooray vacations.

i fucking loathe first fridays
driving to my job (1st and pierce) is a nightmare.
the parking and/or lack thereof makes me wanna kill myself/everybody
and the majority of the people i have to deal with after work
do not seem to grasp the concept of moderation.
i can understand how it can be fun for those who are
not working, using public transport and getting blasted
walking from artsy place to artsy place but for this guy
it's pretty much the worst day of the month.

hitting up a friends wedding after work today. got our blue ray player/surround sound stereo dealy hookup up to the new tv last night so this weekend is pretty much going to be wall-shaking episodes of football being watched. well, in between bouts of yardwork that is. and assuming that my lawnmower is fixed by tomorrow morning. i've been waiting on this repair shop for two weeks now. the lawn is bordering on city citation!

playing in a Galaga tournament tonight...im actually not that good at the original non-speed machine, despite having a tattoo of the game. the new one with the fast fire, im a killer at.

tomorrow is our puppys birthday celebration. and by celebration i meant we are taking her to the pet expo and hopefully will find a cake? then if im feeling spry i will take a nap and go see SAM THE BUTCHER. im having a weird week where i feel like i should settle down (plus i think im finally burned out on shows. it only took 16 years...), so i may just go to bed early.

sunday im goin to the gym, makin a big breakfast and watching football until all of the 9-11 mentions make me insane at which point i will read and play video games.
