sometime this weekend imma check out my galpal's new "on her own" downtown phx home, finish the four reclaimed fabric sewing projects I have in progress, make some trips to goodwill (scaling down the crap I own), work on some art to be replacements for the ones I dropped off at trunkspace last night (my office looks so bare now) and maybe try to be more social this weekend versus how I am usually.

I'll probably get all the but the last thing accomplished.

Going to head to the bar, see if I meet up with anybody I know... The past few bar experiences for me have been awesome. Might buy somebody a round, just for the heck of it.

My new band, the minor injuries, makes its debut at the Icehouse Tavern this Friday, 3/18 :-) early slot, 9pm or so. I mean, I know it's an icehouse show, but kinda excited about this...

same. It just feels awesome to NOT turn on the alarm clock the night before and if I wake up I can STAY in bed for as long as I want! <3 it.

totally rocked the shit in sales today. woooo

gotta do some fliering after work.. then chill at home. my gf is babysitting a friend's infant tonight. possibly overnight. :o

wish me luck. tomorrow i'm joining some work folks for one of those corp teambuilding ropes courses things. it was totally optional and i signed up. figured i could use the exercise. and if nothing else, it might be funny to watch some of these people fall down. and we get kona grill for dinner afterwards. then the BRO LOAF show that night!

sunday should be some house/yard/biz work!

nothing overly exciting. on a no beer/carb/sugar diet right now so that definitely limits what kind of fun i can get up to. maybe a movie and tons of yardwork. got a company picnic to attend on sunday where i entered the horseshoe tourney with a coworker. that'll probably be the highlight of my weekend. a close second will be practicing throwing horseshoes in my backyard on saturday. anyone like to throw?

I like horseshoes! It's been awhile though.

My drummer's family plays a variation using large washers (about silver dollar sized) and
a 1" squared sandbox with 3" and 5" pipes in it for point variation and challenge.
Seriously addicting.

i've never played washers. i'm wondering if that's typically more of an eastern thing where horseshoes is more west/southwest. i grew up here and we always played horseshoes and it wasn't until a few years back that i'd ever even heard of washers. anyway, if anyone's interested in throwing some horseshoes i'll post on here when i know what time i may be wrapping up the yardwork and getting to it.

I like horseshoes although I am terrible at it. I'm better at washers. I used to play quoits when I was a kid too. I don't think any of it is more or less regional. It all came from Europe.

My favorite lawn game is "tiki disc", a game which was "invented" by my friends and I. It's strange game with sordid origins but it is quite fun. It involves trying to knock beer bottles off of a tiki torch via a frisbee.
