The Shizz Announces PROM 2009 at the Icehouse Tavern
Local Music and Arts Community Gives You The Chance to Relive Your Fashion Mistakes From the Past
Phoenix, AZ – March 31, 2009: The Shizz, a network of musicians and artists working together to support culture in Arizona, today announced that they will be hosting Prom 2009 at the Icehouse Tavern, 3855 E. Thomas Road, on Saturday May 2 at 8 pm. Tickets are $10 per couple, or $5 for those flying solo.
DJ Mig50 will be spinning classic 80's dance music all night, and attendees are encouraged to wear their original prom attire, assuming it still fits. Photographers will be on hand to capture all the glory, and the Icehouse will be serving drinks at the bar.
The theme for this 21+ Prom? An Enchanted Evening on Mars. Anyone is welcome to attend, as long as they're prepared to dance until last call. There will even be elections for Prom King and Queen. If your original prom ended badly (or if you didn't even go), this is your do-over. And if you had a great time at your prom, this is your chance to relive the glory days - blue tuxedo and all.
“This is going to be pretty fun,” said Donald Martinez, Executive Director of The Shizz. “I've seen some of the outfits people wore to their prom - it should be a pretty colorful evening. And the hairstyles... Wow.”
